The San Jacinto Memorial Auditorium, a historic landmark in Houston, Texas, was built in 1914 and originally designed by Oklahoma architects Layton and Smith. This auditorium has been a cultural hub for over a century, hosting a wide array of significant events, including political rallies, community gatherings, and educational forums. With a seating capacity of approximately 800+, the auditorium has welcomed countless visitors, witnessing pivotal moments in Houston’s history.
In the late 1970s, Houston Community College (HCC) purchased the building, recognizing its historical value and the importance of preserving its legacy. HCC undertook extensive restoration efforts to maintain the auditorium's original architectural beauty while upgrading it for modern use. Through careful refurbishments and ongoing maintenance, HCC has kept the San Jacinto Memorial Auditorium in pristine condition, ensuring it remains a vital and cherished venue for future generations to enjoy.
Because of the diversity of uses for the auditorium, it was important that it had the appropriate equipment for any event that might take place. LyncVerse Technologies upgraded the auditorium with a Symetrix A/V over IP control system, Panasonic laser projectors, and a state-of-the-art Shure wireless microphone system. Additionally, they enhanced connectivity with stage and control booth video connections and implemented remote management capabilities via Apple iPad, ensuring seamless operation for any event.
LyncVerse is proud to play a pivotal role in enhancing the auditorium's significance through a comprehensive upgrade of its Audio-Visual capabilities. Our team has meticulously installed state-of-the-art projectors, speakers, and AV equipment, ensuring that the San Jacinto Auditorium remains a premier venue for both educational and community events for years to come.
